What is a webcast?

Essentially, webcasting is broadcasting over the Internet using streaming media technology. A webcast can be watched either live or on demand.

Video cameras in our council chamber capture the live video and audio of a meeting and via our provider Public-i, anyone anywhere connected to the Internet can watch it.
